Tour Guide at Elon University
Class of 2022
Hometown: Winston-Salem, NC
Minor: Political Science, Leadership Studies
I chose Elon University because I truly felt as though it was a home away from home. I knew that by attending a school like Elon, I would have the opportunity to form close relationships with faculty and staff, have Travel Abroad options, and be given an incredible education. I love the traditions and values that Elon holds, and the community and culture are what makes this place so exceptional.
College Coffee is by far one of my favorite Traditions at Elon. Every Tuesday morning, professors, students, and faculty members come together to have free food and drinks and truly get to know a lot of the incredible people on campus. Everyone on Elon's campus is busy, and College Coffee is a time where we can take some time in our day and relax!
My most memorable Elon experience was when I participated in Adventures in Leadership (AIL). This program is specifically designed for rising first-year students and gave me the opportunity to come into Elon with experiences and friends before I had even stepped foot on campus for my first semester. On this trip, I and over thirty first-year students traveled to Pisgah National Forest where we spent the week camping, hiking, whitewater rafting, canyoneering, and created incredible memories. I met some of my best friends on that trip, and it is truly one of my favorite experiences I have had thus far.
