There has not been one big experience that has been the most memorable compared to others. It has been all of the small moments added together that have made each semester unique and amazing. From going to McEwen Dining Hall and having great conversations with the staff to constantly seeing a familiar face on campus and having conversations with both students and faculty. All of the small moments put together have made being at Elon the best experience.
From the first time that I stepped on campus, I felt safe and included. I knew that I could be myself and not have to try and be someone different in order to feel like I belonged. There was a strong support system throughout the application process up until move-in day. Since I felt at ease and individually supported through the entire process, I knew this was the place for me.
Convocation/ Commencement when I received my acorn and then by the end of my four years receiving an oak sapling. I know this will be my favorite tradition at Elon since it signifies growth over four years. After college, all of us will have grown from who we were entering college. Being able to keep both an acorn and an oak sapling will represent the growth we all achieved. This will be memorable since it starts off our four years on an exciting note and wraps it all up when we are ready to go down our different paths.
