I am always drawn to places with a warm and vibrant sense of community and this is something Elon prioritizes in every avenue. Classes are small and collaborative, professors want to know their students on personal and academic levels, and there are boundless opportunities to join clubs and organizations based on your interests. From the moment I first stepped on campus I could tell students were happy and proud to go to Elon, and since being here I have found community within so many different places.
It is so hard to pick just one! I will never forget my winter term (J-term) in Ghana. It was so impactful to learn about West African history and culture in such a hands-on way. It was such a unique opportunity that I don't know if I would be able to have at any other school, and I know I will be reflecting on it for years to come.
S'mores with Outdoors! Every Wednesday Elon Outdoors hosts this free event where you can come hang by a campfire, make some s'mores and listen to some music. It is such a nice break during the middle of the week to relax and laugh with some friends.
