My favorite Elon Tradition is .... Because...

My favorite Elon Tradition is the Festival of Lights and Luminaries. For one night in the final weeks before the end of the Fall semester, Elon lines the walkways through the center of campus with hundreds of lanterns and places string lights in the beautiful oak trees, causing the middle of campus to light up and be filled with holiday cheer. It's a wonderful evening of learning about different faith traditions, gathering as a community, and witnessing the joy that the holiday season brings to our students!

I chose Elon because...

I chose Elon because of the fantastic academic programming and wide variety of extracurriculars to get involved in. I am able to study what I love while also continuing my passions of swim, dance, and faith in different organizations.

My most memorable Elon experience?

One of my favorite experiences at Elon happened at the sophomore welcome back event. At the end of the evening, myself and a group of friends went to see the hypnotist. We had always heard that this was a popular event for Elon students, but we didn’t expect it to be such a large crowd. It was one of the first times I felt a strong sense of community here at Elon. The entire show was so incredible from the beginning to the end! It was hilarious, entertaining, and quite honestly, a little confusing. I’m still not entirely sure how he was able to hypnotize so many students, but it was very memorable!
