When I arrived at Elon, I felt it was the place for me. I am a traveler, and someone who values not only my education, but opportunities. I found that during my tour I could picture myself as a student, thriving in an environment full of opportunity through organizations, leadership, study abroad and service. The campus felt like home, and I knew it was where I bELONged.
My sophomore year I was able to be a part of the inauguration of Dr. Book with my choir, Camerata. This experience was history in the making, as Dr. Book is our first female president, and I was able to welcome her to Elon through one of my favorite hobbies, singing!
Receiving my acorn and the oak sapling I will receive when I graduate is my favorite tradition at Elon. In college, you often experience unimaginable growth. This symbolic tradition shows that growth, and allows us to plant our roots, with a memory of our alma mater.
