Tour Guide at Elon University
Class of 2022
Hometown: Atlanta, GA
Minor: Professional Sales, German Studies
My most memorable experience so far has been move-in day because it was a great example of the support every student receives at Elon. I had worried a bit how I would get all my things up to my room but that was totally unnecessary. As soon as we drove up to the dorm, there were tons of students with large carts and my things were in my room faster than I could blink. Everyone worked together and had so much fun. I can't wait to do my share and help move in the next freshmen class!
When I took my first Elon campus tour, I felt right at home. The beautiful campus and the warmth and friendliness of the people made a lasting impression on me. As an acting major, I also chose Elon because of its state-of-the-art performing arts facilities and its incredible theatre professors who have already taught me so much and are truly interested in my professional development.
Convocation under The Oaks is a wonderful Elon tradition and a very moving experience. I could really feel that I had arrived at a place that has deep roots but also a very modern outlook. My favorite moment was the human bar graph that President Book created. The last student standing was Jacob. When President Book asked who would support Jacob on his college journey and the entire faculty stood up, I knew I was in the right place.
