Receiving an acorn at New Student Convocation and an oak sapling at Commencement. I love that they are such tangible symbols of every Elon student's journey here and represent how we grow as individuals while supporting each other as a collective. I keep my acorn on my desk to remind myself that I am always part of the Elon community, and that there is always room for growth!
The emphasis on liberal arts and the value placed on mentoring and small class sizes. As soon as I arrived at Elon for my tour, I felt welcomed. Everyone I saw was excited to see me and proud to be at Elon. I knew then that this was the place I could belong and be myself while pursuing all of my passions.
My most memorable Elon experience was Move-In Day. I had been looking forward to going to college for so long, and suddenly it was all happening! It was incredibly exciting to explore my new home, decorate my room, and, most importantly, meet the people who would become some of my best friends. Similarly, I also loved being a member of O-Team last year, helping new students move in to their residence halls. It was so fun to share some of their enthusiasm about starting their Elon journeys, while making the process as smooth as possible for them and their families.
