Tour Guide at Elon University
Class of 2019
Hometown: Hagerstown, MD
Minor: Accounting; Spanish
I chose Elon because we offer so many opportunities! I came in undecided, but took Exploring Majors (a one credit class offered at Elon) which helped me figure out a major in Finance. I was able to pursue my passion for Spanish in the form of a minor, and also studied abroad in a Spanish-speaking country with a host family. Lastly, I am able to be involved in numerous facets across campus thanks to our over 250 student organizations. All of these opportunities have helped shape my time in college, which has been an irreplaceable experience.
My favorite Elon Tradition is LUMINARIES because it's a great way to take a break from studying and to come together as a community! Plus, you can't go wrong with a beautiful campus, a cappella performances, and hot cocoa!
My most memorable Elon experience was definitely having the opportunity to study abroad with Elon students and faculty in Costa Rica during our January Term 2017. Three weeks of immersion in to Costa Rican culture was amazing, and did wonders for my spanish language skills!
