My favorite Elon Tradition is the Festival of Holiday Lights or "Luminaries" because this was when I realized that Elon had become my family and not just my school. The atmosphere is magical with all the twinkling lights, luminaries, and community.
My most memorable Elon experience is from living in the Service Learning Community or "SLC" on the first floor of Virginia residence hall. These people became the solid foundation that I needed to propel me into my Elon endeavors outside of the SLC, allowing me to be my best self. They continue to be the rock I lean through thick and thin.
I chose Elon because from the moment I stepped on campus it felt like no other school that I visited. On a more practical level, I really liked that Elon put such an emphasis on being a well-rounded student through their liberal arts education as well as that it had so many study abroad opportunities.
