My favorite Elon tradition is receiving an acorn during 1st year convocation and then getting an oak sapling at graduation to symbolize students' growth during their time at Elon.

I chose Elon because...

I chose Elon because of the plentiful opportunities available to students academically and to ensure continued success. There are endless opportunities to participate in Study Abroad/USA and to take courses that foster critical thinking and global awareness. Also, I was drawn to the small classes that allow for more opportunities to have in-depth discussions and to create meaningful relationships with professors.

My most memorable Elon experience?

My most memorable Elon experience was when I had the opportunity to visit a local Mosque with my Global Experiences class. We were able to observe their prayers and hear about their experiences and struggles as Muslim-Americans in the United States. It was an incredible learning experience and I felt lucky to be included in this intimate part of their lives.
