I chose Elon because the first time I walked on campus I felt like I was at home. The combination of the kindness and hospitality shown to me by every single person I interacted with and the way Elon gave me the opportunity to explore all of my academic and extracurricular interests.
So far my most memorable Elon experiences have been ones that on the surface seem quite mundane. My most favorite moments since move-in day of my first year are studying for exams with peers, simple meetings with professors, or just grabbing lunch with a friend. The people are truly what make this place so incredible, and are what continue to make me excited and fall more in love with this university.
My favorite Elon tradition is how each student receives an acorn during new student convocation and then an oak tree sapling at graduation. It takes 4 years for an acorn to evolve into a sapling which resembles the growth that students experience during their time at Elon.
