I chose Elon because of the size and the location, and the sense of community inherent in that. Throughout my college search, I probably toured almost 20 schools, and I kept coming back to Elon. Whether it was the classes capped at 33 or the fact that you can build relationships with your professors, I kept comparing other schools to the way that an Elon education would be. In the end, I was most excited to be able to participate in discussion-based learning and become a part of the tight knit Elon community.
One of my most memorable Elon experiences has to be when Nicole Byer came to campus in 2019. I didn't really know who she was before her act, but she was so funny, and now I love to watch her Netflix show! It was my first comedy show I had ever been to and I frequently tell people about how much fun I had.
My favorite Elon Tradition would have to be the Festival of Lights that happens before winter break each year. It was something that I was looking forward to leading up to it my first time and then I was completely blown away when I saw the gorgeous luminaries lining all of the sidewalks. It was a welcomed break during finals.
