Diversity Ambassadors and Tour Guide at Elon University
Class of 2020
Hometown: Matthews, NC
Major: Cinema & Television Arts
Secondary Major: Strategic Communications
I initially chose Elon because of the School of Communications and all that it has to offer. Additionally, I was awarded scholarships from the Honors Fellows and Odyssey program giving me the opportunity to connect with other students, faculty, and staff on campus! Elon provides me with the chance to finally begin working towards my goals and living out my dreams.
My most memorable Elon experience would have to be "La Habana". An event put on by Chi Upsilon Sigma, Lambda Upsilon Sigma, El Centro, and Elon University's Latinx-Hispanic Union, "La Habana" is a night of Latin music and dance where I was able to learn about a culture that was different than mine while I was surrounded by people with a variety of backgrounds. It was one of my most memorable nights at Elon and is to this day one of the best events I've attended!
My favorite Elon Tradition is the Festival of Holiday Lights because everyone is able to come together and celebrate the holidays even in the midst of exam week. The campus looks so beautiful and the hot chocolate is AMAZING!
