My favorite Elon tradition is receiving an acorn on convocation, and then a sapling at graduation. The growth that happens in your four years at Elon is truly best represented using the acorns/saplings, and it is super inspiring. The tradition is sweet as it represents so much: your growth, where you are going to "plant your roots", etc.
I chose Elon because of the sheer amount of opportunities for growth, both academically and socially. Elon is filled with programs that I knew was going to support me and make me comfortable. Elon is also equipped with many tools that any person could need to excel in any way desirable!
My most memorable experience was being able to travel throughout the East Coast with the Teaching Fellows this passed J-term! I visited places like Charleston, Savannah, and Washington D.C, visiting museums and exploring the cities. This travel experience afforded myself and the other fellows with unique experiences that we would not have otherwise had :)
