...of the culture of community I felt on campus when I took my tour. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and that initial impression of Elon being a community was spot on. This is a place you can call your home, not just your university.

My favorite Elon tradition is the Turning 21 Dinner. Based off of when a student turns 21, there is a fancy dinner to celebrate that milestone. The best part? You choose to attend with a faculty member who has influenced your Elon experience, or someone you look up to. I love that Elon not only celebrates alongside you but gives you the opportunity to show a staff member how they have contributed to your four years.
Every year, Tibetan Monks from the Kadampa Center in Raleigh come to campus and create a sand mandala. This year, I was lucky enough to get lunch with them and learn about their lives and teachings. It was an incredibly enriching and unique experience.
