Coming out of high school, I had no idea what I wanted to pursue in college. I picked Elon because not only does this institution allow, but it encourages, students to challenge themselves by taking classes in all different fields of study for a more well-rounded education. This has allowed me to pick my majors and minors not on impulse, but on passion, as I've been able to try so many different classes that I would have never taken if I didn't come to Elon.
I may be the only person to say this is my favorite tradition, but I just LOVE Food Truck Wednesday. Each week Elon invites a different local food truck to campus for lunch (my personal favorite being the dumpling truck). It is such a fun way to interact with different Elon students, spend time on our beautiful campus, and obviously, have a delicious lunch!
I would definitely say my most memorable Elon experience was being an orientation leader. During OL training, I learned so much more about Elon and met so many amazing people through the program. During orientation week, I loved spending time with my group of 20 new freshmen and connecting with each of them. It makes me so happy to have had the opportunity to help my orientation group find their homes at Elon.
