I chose Elon for nursing because of its strong academic reputation and commitment to hands-on learning. The nursing program's emphasis on clinical experience and small class sizes made it the perfect place to grow as both a student and a future healthcare professional. Beyond academics, Elon’s sense of community was a major draw for me. The welcoming, close-knit environment allows students to connect with faculty, staff, and peers, creating a supportive space where I can thrive both personally and professionally. The Luminaries at Winter is one of my favorite Elon traditions. It transforms the campus each December into a glowing wonderland. Thousands of luminary bags, each lit by a candle, line the walkways, creating a peaceful, magical atmosphere. For students, faculty, and alumni, the event is a moment of pause—an opportunity to reflect, celebrate, and feel the warmth of the Elon community. The soft glow of the luminaries symbolizes light in the darkness, reminding us of the connection we share, no matter where we are in life. It’s a tradition that I will remember long after graduation, a beautiful moment of unity and belonging that captures the heart of Elon.
