I chose Elon because of the quality of its communication school. It was hard to decide to go so far away, but everyone on campus was welcoming and made it feel like home. There were also so many opportunities to take advantage of and it seemed like a good environment to make meaningful connections both professionally and socially.
My favorite Elon Tradition is College Coffee because it allows for students to meet new people and get involved with different organizations on campus. It is a place organizations can set up and have mini events to help promote themselves or what they are working. It is also a great place to grab free coffee and just talk with friends.
My most memorable Elon experience so far has been connecting with all of my professors and staff on campus. Coming into college I made it my goal to really connect with my professors and other staff on a level other than just student teacher. I didn't want to waste my opportunity to do so since Elon class sizes are already so small and you could get to know your professors if you wanted to. The opportunities and extra experience I've gained from making the effort to connect with my professors has been incredibly valuable and something I wouldn't change.
