My favorite Elon Tradition is .... Because...

My favorite Elon tradition is receiving your acorn at the beginning of freshman year, which symbolizes the start of your journey, growth, and empowerment. And at the end of your college experience, it would mature and become an oak tree, spreading its branches to the world. I love it so much because of the meaning it has with it, of self-growth and later on independence.

I chose Elon because...

I chose Elon primarily because of the family environment I have received since day one. I'm from Lima, Perú, and flying far away from home to another country and a different language, is not easy. I wanted to feel safe and surrounded by good hearts, that's the definition of Elon. They made me feel welcomed and loved. Elon in general is a huge family, and I'm so happy and grateful to call it my home far from home.
